Programme Overview
Diploma in Mechatronic Engineering is offered in line with the rapid development of technology, which aims to produce skilled and semi-professional graduates who can continue to adapt to the industry in Malaysia. It is important for them to have knowledge that can be integrated in various fields. The curriculum for this program is designed so that students have the ability to design, operate and maintain electrical & electronic equipment, mechanical, computer software and information technology. Apart from the core engineering courses, students are also given soft skills such as ethics, management, entrepreneurship, communication and ethnic relations. Graduates have broad employment prospects in private companies, industry, government departments and statutory bodies. It covers areas such as engineering, production, testing and other related fields. Among the industries involved are such as Siemen VDO, Sony EMCS, Elna-Sonic, Sanyo Electronics, Schott Glass, Action Industries and others. Apart from that, students also have the opportunity to continue their studies to the bachelor's degree level in Mechatronic or Mechanical Engineering which is offered at any local university or university abroad.
