Programme Overview
Diploma in Environmental Engineering is a TVET-based programme designed to equip students with strong technical knowledge and practical skills in environmental engineering and sustainability practices. The programme focuses on real-world applications, industry-relevant competencies, and hands-on learning to prepare graduates for the evolving needs of the engineering and environmental sectors. This programme is recognised by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC), ensuring that it meets national professional and quality standards.
Core Skills Developed
Students in the Diploma in Environmental Engineering develop technical, practical, and professional competencies to address environmental challenges sustainably. They gain hands-on skills in environmental monitoring, water and wastewater treatment, air pollution control, solid waste management, and laboratory investigations. The programme also enhances problem-solving, data analysis, and the use of modern engineering tools. In addition, students develop communication, teamwork, leadership, and ethical decision-making skills while applying environmental legislation and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. These competencies prepare graduates to support sustainable development and meet the evolving needs of the environmental engineering industry.
