Programme Overview
The program is designed specifically to produce graduates who have knowledge and skills in communication, new media, information technology. It also develops competitive, innovative, and creative management and entrepreneurship students in line with industrial needs. The program curriculum is specifically designed to: first, cultivate a competent workforce to communicate to effectively execute the duties and responsibilities in the organization; second, train a capable workforce leveraging new media to increase the efficiency of the delivery system; and third, transfer the knowledge of management and entrepreneurship to the workforce so that strive to make the organization more effective and competitive in the process offer a product or service. A combination of various skills in one the future will produce hybrid graduates who are highly competitive for facing challenges in the era of globalization as well as having a high self-quality in the career market. This program is also able to produce a workforce that can support the policy needs of the rapidly growing creative industry, especially the creative multimedia industry that emphasizes the development of creative products and making the creative industry a dynamic sector that can increase its contribution to the country’s GDP and in turn, contribute to an income-generating economy high (high-income economy).
Core Skills Developed
The Bachelor of New Media Communication with Honours programme develops graduates with integrated competencies in communication, digital content production, interactive media design, emerging technology, research, strategic media management, and professional practice. Students are progressively trained to analyse communication needs, develop creative and user-centred digital solutions, apply appropriate media technologies, evaluate outcomes using research and data, and manage projects ethically and professionally. Through practical coursework, interdisciplinary projects, industry engagement, a final-year project, and industrial training, graduates will be equipped to contribute effectively to the rapidly evolving media, communication, and creative technology industries.
