Programme Overview

The programme aims to generate engineering technologist who are competent and possess a sound and balanced skill in integrating biological engineering and management principles. The course is delivered based on a practical approach that covers basic and applied engineering principles of economics and business management in the agricultural and related industries. The students are also exposed to agro-industrial know-how through courses and skills that are applicable in many related industries. The final semester of the programme is dedicated to the industrial training activity attaching the students to relevant industries mainly to enhance their capability and skill in accordance to the market needs.

This dynamic, forward-looking programme equips students with the hybrid skill set needed to revolutionize modern agriculture and tackle global food sustainability challenges. Students will master core engineering mechanics through hands-on experience in CAD, system analysis, and fluid power design, while applying biological principles to optimize crop, livestock, and post-harvest management. To position students at the forefront of the AgTech revolution, the curriculum heavily emphasizes digital fluency, building their expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), automated control systems, computer programming, and drone-based spatial mapping (GIS). By synergising these cutting-edge technological competencies with vital professional skills like project management and quality control, students will graduate as versatile, tech-savvy innovators ready to drive smart, eco-conscious solutions across the modern agro-industrial landscape.
