The Bachelor of Applied Science in Materials Technology and Metallurgy provides students with comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in the field of materials science and metallurgical technology. Specialized Facilities
Materials characterization laboratory including; optical microscope, scanning electron microscope (SEM). etc. Polymer and composite laboratories including; internal mixer, two-roll mill, cmpression moulding machine, Universal testing machine (UTM), etc. Metallurgy laboratory including; Heat treatment furnace, metallographic sample preparation equipment, hardness and impact testing machine. Thermal analysis laboratory including; Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), etc. Computer and simulation laboratory including; GNU Octave, AutoCAD.
