Programme Overview

The role of the Biomedical Electronic Engineering Program is to produce biomedical engineers who have a strong foundation and high capabilities in research and development, design, manufacturing, maintenance, marketing and management who specialize in related fields. Biomedical Electronic Engineering is a field of knowledge that combines the knowledge of electrical engineering, electronics, materials mechanics and medical knowledge such as anatomy, physiology, and radiology. The results of the combination of knowledge are used to develop the latest technology in medicine field. Prospective graduates of this program will have sufficient knowledge and skills as a biomedical engineer who can combine knowledge of electronic engineering, mechanical engineering and human biological systems to produce biomedical instruments and other medical equipment. Apart from the core engineering courses, students are also given soft skills such as ethics, management, entrepreneurship, communication and thinking skills. Graduates from the Biomedical Electronic Engineering program have the potential to serve in hospitals, medical equipment maintenance companies, medical product research and development institutions as well as the electronic equipment industry.
