Bachelor of Chemical Engineering Technology (Industrial Chemical Process) with Honours is a program designed to complement knowledge, application and skills in the field of chemical engineering technology such as reaction technology, upstream and downstream process and separation, and process safety. This program meets the needs and requirements of the chemical-related industries and equip the graduates with hands-on and applied skills to serve in the chemical process industries such as oleochemical, petrochemical, polymer, oil and gas, advances membrane technology and pharmaceutical.
Core Skills Developed
The Bachelor of Chemical Engineering Technology (Industrial Chemical Process) with Honours programme develops graduates with strong technical knowledge and practical competencies in chemical process operations, process design, plant safety, quality control, and process optimisation. Students acquire hands-on skills in laboratory techniques, process equipment operation, instrumentation and control, data analysis, problem-solving, and the application of engineering technologies to industrial processes. The programme also strengthens communication, teamwork, project management, digital literacy, and professional ethics, enabling graduates to effectively contribute to the chemical and process industries while supporting sustainable and innovative engineering practices.
