Programme Overview
This programme focuses on the building construction sector, equipping students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential to the industry. Students are exposed to key areas such as building technology, building services, and Building Information Modelling (BIM). In addition, the programme emphasises construction project management and entrepreneurship, enabling students to develop the competencies needed to manage construction projects effectively and to explore opportunities in operating their own construction-related businesses.

Building Information Modelling (BIM) – Develop digital modelling, coordination, and visualization skills for modern construction projects, Construction Project Management – Plan, schedule, monitor, and control construction projects effectively using industry-standard tools, Construction Technology & Methods – Apply modern construction techniques, materials, and technologies in building projects, Cost Estimation & Budgeting – Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and project budgets, Building Services Integration – Understand and coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and building service systems, Quality Assurance & Building Inspection – Conduct quality assessments, defect management, and building condition evaluations, Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) – Implement construction safety regulations and site safety management practices, Problem Solving & Critical Thinking – Analyse construction challenges and develop practical engineering solutions, Leadership & Teamwork – Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage construction site operations effectively, Communication & Professionalism – Communicate technical information confidently with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders, Digital & Industry Competencies – Gain hands-on experience through Work-Based Learning (WBL), professional certification, and exposure to professional practices, Technopreneurship & Innovation – Develop entrepreneurial thinking and innovative solutions for the construction industry.
